Sharjah 24: Inter Milan has announced the signing of Iranian international striker Mehdi Taremi on a three-year contract. The 31-year-old is the first Iranian to join Inter Milan, with his contract lasting until summer 2027, as reported by British news agency PA Media.
Taremi, who previously played alongside former Inter player Wesley Sneijder at the Qatari Al-Gharafa SC, moved to Portugal to join Rio Ave and later Porto in the summer of 2020. During his four seasons with Porto, Taremi scored 77 goals in 154 matches, including 20 goals in the 2021/2022 season, which saw Porto win the league title.
On the international stage, Taremi has played 85 matches for Iran, scoring 50 goals.
