Sharjah 24 – WAM: Heavy rains have led to the death of 193 people in India, caused by floods, landslides, and other rain-related incidents across the states of Assam, Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh in recent days.
According to Indian media, floods and landslides caused by continuous rains in the northeastern state of Assam have resulted in the deaths of 106 people. Uttar Pradesh has recorded 65 deaths, while Himachal Pradesh in northern India has reported 22 fatalities from rain-related incidents.

The Assam State Disaster Management Authority indicated that over 1.2 million people in 23 districts have been affected by floods and landslides.
