Sharjah 24 – KUNA: Incessant rains hit Indian capital for last days leading to flood-like situation and throwing lives out of gear in New Delhi for many days.
Still water clogging is disrupting normal life in many parts of the capital as overflow of water in Yamuna river after unprecedented raising of water above danger mark inundated many low laying places.

The government in the state announced leave for educational institutions, asked people to remain indoors and allowed government and private sector employees in affected areas to work from home.

Like other natural calamities including cold and heat waves hit the capital, poor people who have migrated from other states to New Delhi in search for livelihood are the worst affected. Many of them are working in the unorganised sectors and are living in houses that are built in illegal areas or are unauthorised
