Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; and Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, performed the Eid Al-Adha prayer alongside worshippers at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.
Performing prayers alongside Their Highnesses were Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO); Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and a number of Sheikhs, high-ranking officials and worshippers.

Performing the Eid sermon, Dr. Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri highlighted Eid as a renewed opportunity to remember what it is to be truly human, in its noblest forms, noting that the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) gave a sermon over 1,400 years ago in which he recognised human fraternity as one of the key principles of Islam.

He said that the UAE will always lead the charge in promoting such principles and values, for which its residents can vouch.

Following the prayer, Sheikh Mansour exchanged greetings with worshippers on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.

He then visited the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and asked God to rest his soul in eternal peace.
