Sharjah 24 – WAM: Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation, announced that the AI Retreat will become an annual event in Dubai. Organised by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) and the National Programme for Artificial Intelligence, the next retreat is scheduled for April 29, 2025.
The AI Retreat 2024, part of the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI), aimed to enhance Dubai's status as a global AI hub. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the retreat as a platform to explore AI's transformative impact on various sectors.

Sheikh Hamdan attended the AI Retreat 2024, which attracted over 2,500 participants, including CEOs from major technology companies. The event also saw new initiatives and partnerships launched.

In meetings with Dubai government leaders and newly appointed Chief AI Officers, Sheikh Hamdan emphasised the need for rapid implementation of AI initiatives to double AI's positive impact for humanity.

He stressed Dubai's commitment to using AI to support human capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and enhance quality of life. The retreat included roundtables and workshops on AI trends, policies, and technologies.

Sheikh Hamdan also witnessed the announcement of a strategic partnership between du and Oracle to provide advanced AI and data solutions, reinforcing Dubai's role as a global innovation hub.

The Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence aims to make Dubai a leading city in AI adoption, supporting the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 to boost economic growth and digital transformation.
