SEDD receives its Strategic Partners

Sharjah24: Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” held a meeting with its strategic partners including Sharjah City Municipality, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sharjah Foundation to Support Pioneering Entrepreneurs (RUWAD), and number of business centers in the emirate. The meeting aimed at discussing laws and legislation related to the approvals mechanism, as part of its concerns to adhere to its strategic plan calling for planning and leading economic development in the emirate by improving the satisfaction and loyalty of key customers and partners through adopting best practices in procedures and quality systems.
At the beginning of the meeting, SEDD welcomed the entities, stressing on the importance of such meetings for developing and planning economic practices in the emirate. The meeting reviewed the mechanism for regulating lease contracts between the original owner of business centers and the owners of commercial activities that conduct business in these centers, within the regulatory requirements approved by the Department and related to the emirate of Sharjah. Also, the requirements for approving real estate licenses and real estate consultations were discussed, in a way that encourages business practice in various economic sectors. this was done according to the mechanisms and practical frameworks provided by the emirate that harmonize the requirements of growth and meet the needs of investors, which are supported by the launch of many services that have achieved added value to the local economy. In addition, development notes provided by business centers to develop the sector were discussed during the meeting.

Commenting on this, Rashid Al Hosani, Deputy Head of Commercial Control Section at SEDD, emphasized the importance of holding such meetings that enhance cooperation and coordination to contribute to achieving sustainable economic development for the emirate. HE added that through such meetings, efforts are stimulated with all entities, institutions and business centers that contribute to establishing important work mechanisms and development plans that enhance the growth of the economy in Sharjah and help propose effective solutions to address all challenges.

Likely, Al Hosani added that SEDD works continuously, in cooperation with concerned entities, to apply the approved controls and regulations in order to ensure that all operating commercial establishments adhere to the established practices and policies in order to provide the best services to investors and customers in the emirate.
