Photographers invited to showcase Sharjah’s beauty

The ‘See Sharjah’ Award contest invites and encourages photographers to celebrate and capture the splendour of the emirate’s shining present and the grandeur of its past in images that showcase the distinguished identity and rich uniqueness of the Emirate of Sharjah. 

The competition offers an ideal platform and opportuntiy to photographers to demonstrate their creativity, unique talent and offer their own distinct view of this charming emirate.

Unique perspectives on Sharjah’s diversity

Through its four categories -- Urban Landscapes, Cultural Heritage, Nature & Scenic Beauty, and People & Daily Life – the ‘See Sharjah’ Award contest inspires and encourages photographers to demonstrate their extraordinary skills in capturing places and moments that reflect the rich heritage and physical beauty of Sharjah. 

The competition provides opportunities for creatives to showcase their works that express the essence of the emirate in an artistic and truly never-before-seen fashion. 

Xposure allows each participant to submit up to 10 photos to take part in the contest. The photos must have been taken in Sharjah within the past two years. Participating photographers can submit photos in JPG format, provided images are in high-resolution. 

High-resolution images with English titles and captions detailing the location are required for the jury. The captions should provide a brief description of each image explaining its relevance and importance and the setting or location in Sharjah.

The ‘See Sharjah’ Award competition is a call to explore, view and showcase the emirate from a fresh, creative and never-before-seen perspective. It offers photographers a global platform to showcase their vision of the emirate celebrated as the Cultural Capital of the region, capturing its stunning physical landscape, natural beauty, rich heritage, grand architecture and vibrant culture.
