Sharjah 24: Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, revealed that the hotel and tourism sectors experienced an 11% increase, with the number of guests expected to reach one and a half million by 2023.
Al Midfa said that Sharjah participates in the 24th edition of the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, which is an important venue for promoting the emirate's tourism products and innovative initiatives.
Speaking to Sharjah 24, he stated that the authority is participating with a unique pavilion showcasing Sharjah's new experiences and projects, with a focus on key tourism efforts. The current edition of the Arabian Travel Market features 27 entities from the government and business sectors in Sharjah.
According to Al Midfa, Sharjah's hotel guest count increased by 11% in 2023, topping 1.5 million. He stated that the Sharjah government will continue the effort, along with services and infrastructure development, in collaboration with governmental and commercial entities to achieve common objectives.
