Sharjah24: In collaboration with the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah, for the fifth year running, the Quran Radio, part of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, is continuing its tradition of broadcasting live Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers during Ramadan. This year, it features prayers from 30 mosques with 30 reciters hailing from different cities in the emirate. These prayers are captured using advanced equipment and cameras and are broadcasted across various social media platforms and the Department of Islamic Affairs' channels.
Additionally, the Quran Radio is airing Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers from Al-Muflihoon Mosque as part of the "Emirati Reciters" event, showcasing the talents of 30 reciters from the UAE. This initiative aims to highlight their mastery and appeal through professional filming and subsequent daily uploads on the radio's YouTube channel throughout Ramadan.

Furthermore, following the success of producing nine exclusive Quranic recitations and the honouring His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah bestowed upon the rectiers, the radio has now completed its tenth recitation featuring the voices of imams from Sharjah. This Ramadan, the radio plans to dedicate recitations to showcase distinctive voices in collaboration with the Department of Islamic Affairs.

Moreover, the Quran Radio has recorded 50 unique Adhans from prominent imams and muezzins in Sharjah's mosques for broadcast across its digital platforms.

Khalifa Hassan Khalaf, Director of the Quran Radio, highlights the importance of digital expansion to reach a wider audience, emphasising the radio's commitment to serving the Quran and its listeners. He also stresses the significance of collaborating with the Department of Islamic Affairs to ensure the highest quality coverage of prayers and the discovery of exceptional reciters who touch the hearts and minds of listeners.
