Sharjah24: Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Chairperson of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators (Rubu' Qarn), emphasised the pivotal role of nurturing children’s talents in the process of nation-building. In this regard, she underscored the strategic importance Sharjah places on stimulating children's curiosity to foster innovative minds committed to making significant contributions to their society and nation.
These remarks were made during the inauguration of the Learning through Entertainment Centre on Sunday, February 25th, which also marked the official opening of the Al Qarayen Child Centre, a branch of Sharjah Children and an affiliate of Rubu' Qarn.

Sheikha Jawaher articulated, “His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, is resolute in his commitment to ensuring that the emirate provides a conducive environment for the growth and development of children and youth. This nurturing environment fosters their creative and innovative personalities”.

She further acknowledged the substantial support and attention bestowed upon Sharjah's children's centres by His Highness, who consistently recognises Rubu' Qarn and its pivotal role in nurturing children and youth. This approach, she highlighted, is instrumental in unveiling their potential, thereby cultivating generations that are socially aware and nurturing leaders who contribute to the community and the nation, operating within the institutional framework of the Sharjah Government.

Sheikha Jawaher further elaborated, stating: “In Sharjah, structures are built to empower the younger generations as they embody the essence of development and serve as the cornerstone of a comprehensive societal journey spanning four decades. We have prioritised the well-being of children from their earliest years, establishing an environment conducive to their development through science, practical experiments, art lessons and the acquisition of life skills in a communal setting of peers. This approach nurtures their self-confidence and capabilities while refining their social skills and ability to articulate their perspectives, positioning Sharjah Children and Rubu' Qarn as indispensable partners to families and the wider community."

During a tour of the centre, Her Highness explored the state-of-the-art facilities designed to meet the highest standards and specifications for child safety. Staff members provided Her Highness with detailed briefings on the diverse array of programs and activities tailored to nurture the talents of children aged six to twelve.

Sheikha Jawaher also inaugurated the "Learning through Entertainment" centre, a qualitative collaboration with 'Studio Lab' aimed at equipping children with modern technologies and providing engaging scientific and educational entertainment to inspire and motivate them. The centre features six primary halls, including the 'Light and Shadow Theater' hall, which facilitates storytelling and the development of linguistic, sensory, visual, and artistic skills. Additionally, the LEGO Hall offers a hands-on learning experience where children can construct models, art panels, and electrical circuits.

The science hall introduces children to engineering and mathematical challenges. Simultaneously, the Virtual Interactive Wall features over 40 interactive games that blend physical education with cognitive skills, enriching children's digital literacy. Furthermore, a woodworking area provides an opportunity for children to learn carpentry and construct wooden models, while the art and creativity hall serves as a space where children can freely express themselves through colours and handmade art pieces.

Offering her perspective on the new centre, Khawla Al Hawai, Director of Sharjah Children, stated: “This marks a significant expansion of the Sharjah Children network, which now spans 15 branches across the emirate. Our network is dedicated to enhancing children's skills through diverse programmes and innovative initiatives, aligning with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Chairperson of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators (Rubu' Qarn), are aimed at fostering generations proficient across various fields.”

The centre is committed to developing children's skills and abilities through a variety of programs, workshops, and interactive games conducted in spaces equipped with cutting-edge tools and technologies designed to stimulate and enhance the learning experience.”
