Sharjah 24: Brigadier General Abdullah bin Amir, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, during the launch of the “Innovation Laboratory” activities, coinciding with the UAE Innovation Month 2024, stressed the importance of the laboratory in enhancing police efforts to achieve a sustainable traffic future, by managing data and analysing traffic systems.
This event comes with the theme “Towards a Sustainable Traffic Future,” held at the Sharjah Police’s headquarters, witnessing the presence of a number of senior officials from the Sharjah Police.
In exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24," he explained the importance of the “Innovation Lab” in enhancing police efforts towards achieving a sustainable traffic future, and stressed that the laboratory aims to identify and exploit innovative opportunities in the field of data management and analysis of traffic systems.
He pointed out that the initiative comes within the framework of Sharjah Police’s efforts to develop and improve traffic and security services, taking advantage of modern technologies and innovative solutions. The focus of the events was on exploring new ways to enhance traffic safety and improve the driving experience in Sharjah, in line with the latest global practices in this field.
He added that the “Innovation Lab” is an important step within Sharjah’s strategy to achieve technological development in various sectors, and represents an example of the Emirate’s commitment to adopting innovation as an essential tool for developing public services and improving the quality of life for its residents.
