There was intense rivalry in the race, and it was successful overall. Running the 12-kilometre race, Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Nuaimi came out on top in his age group.
Among those in attendance were several authorities and sports fans, as well as Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council; Khalifa Sultan Al Jarri, Member of the Sharjah Sports Council; and Salem Mohammed bin Howaiden, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Cultural Sports Club.
Obaid Al Hammoudi won the 12-kilometre category for men within the Emirati group, with Ibrahim Al Shamsi and Aziz Bayraq finishing in second and third place, respectively.
Mohammed Rashid finished second, and Mohammed Al Ketbi finished fourth in the 6-kilometre event for men from the UAE. Hamad al-Matroushi took first place.
Mouza Al Muhairi won the women's division, Hussein Adam won the men's open category, and Yasser Mohammed and Salem Al Aqmaa finished in the top three.
The winners of various events from all of the participating nations shared the podium.
