Sharjah24 - AFP: The international ski federation (FIS) announced on Saturday that the two men's World Cup downhill races that were supposed to take place in the French resort of Chamonix on February 2-3 had been postponed.
"Due to the high temperatures and therefore unfavourable snow conditions for competitions, the two scheduled downhill races ... in Chamonix are cancelled for safety reasons," FIS said.

FIS added that it had tried to find replacements for the two downhill races on the same dates.

"But due to time constraints, no solution was found."

The slalom on Sunday is still confirmed as scheduled.
