Sharjah 24 – WAM: Under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the inaugural Union Wrestling Cup (UWC) kicked off in grandeur at Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Arena on Wednesday, 24th January.
The first-of-its-kind event, organised by the UAE Wrestling Federation, featured intense competition in two categories: Motaraha – an Emirati traditional wrestling – and freestyle wrestling.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan also joined in honouring the winners during the podium ceremony.
