He told the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines of his participation in the global event that organising such conferences is extremely important, and requires great efforts and high levels of coordination.
The UAE was able to do this to the fullest extent, President Lukashenko affirmed, praising the exceptional arrangements that the UAE has made to facilitate the COP28 activities.
Before the official opening of the conference, the Belarusian President held meetings with his counterparts from Azerbaijan, Serbia, Cuba, Zimbabwe, Equatorial Guinea, Congo, Togo and Botswana.
Lukashenko said, “I have already met with a number of leaders, especially from the African continent. This is a good opportunity for us to discuss issues related to joint cooperation, and exchange ideas and experiences in the field of climate change.”
