Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, said the UAE has become one of the world's most powerful nations in terms of political, diplomatic, economic and knowledge sectors.
His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi highlighted the historic moments witnessed by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the Founding Fathers when they decided to form a federal state that unites one nation and one people under the leadership of their Rulers and one flag.
In his speech on the occasion of the UAE’s 52nd Union Day, H.H. Sheikh Humaid extended his congratulations and sincere wishes for continued health, well-being, and happiness to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed,His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Their Highnesses, Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, and the Emirati people.
“Sheikh Zayed and the Founding Fathers established a legacy of national achievements that continued under the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and this legacy is a unique cultural model that made our country a leader in politics, economy, society, science, and humanity. This was made possible by the grace and guidance of Allah Almighty and the wisdom and vision of those leaders who turned society’s diversity into a civilised state based on unity, harmony, solidarity, and cooperation,” he said.
He then stressed that the UAE had been blessed with a succession of wise and righteous leaders, each building upon the legacy of the previous one, and under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the country is continuing its journey of prosperity, well-being, and security. This noble endeavour is evident in the love and unity of the Emirati people and their unwavering support for their leaders, the UAE's strong international relations, and its commitment to aiding those in need around the globe, he added.
“A day of profound significance was marked on the second day of December 1971, which will forever be etched in our collective memory. “The birth of the UAE, a date that stands as a beacon in the nation’s history, was marked by this momentous occasion. In just 52 years, the UAE has emerged as a global force, establishing itself as a leader in politics, diplomacy, economics, science, and intellectual thought,” he stated.
“Its unwavering commitment to progress and strong support for human dignity have inspired nations worldwide to pursue noble aspirations and lofty goals. A testament to the power of unity and the transformative potential of human endeavours is the UAE, which serves as a beacon of hope and a catalyst for positive change,” Sheikh Humaid said in conclusion.
