Sharjah24 - WAM: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received several heads of delegations participating in the UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) at Expo City Dubai.
His Highness the President individually welcomed His Majesty Al Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, King of Malaysia and Sultan of Pahang; Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan; and Isaac Herzog, President of Israel. His Highness discussed with them the bilateral relations between the UAE and their respective countries, exploring ways to enhance ties in various fields. Additionally, they addressed several issues of mutual regional and international interest.

The meetings also reviewed issues, activities, and initiatives presented during COP28, highlighting the importance of the conference in building effective global consensus to counter the threat of climate change. The leaders noted that COP28 offers a significant opportunity for the world to strengthen international climate action for the benefit of humanity.

The meetings were attended by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Court; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; and Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment.
