Sharjah24: Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) in collaboration with the Sharjah Human Resources Program "Waffer" at the Directorate of Human Resources of the Government of Sharjah, has launched the new "Zoud" banking privileges package exclusively offered to all employees of departments and entities under the Government of Sharjah. The package includes competitive profit rates, financial bonuses, privileges, and banking facilities that align with their various needs and aspirations.
The launch event of the package at the Sharjah Cultural Palace was attended by His Excellency Eng. Omar Khalfan bin Huraimel Al Shamsi, Member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of the Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources, and His Excellency Mohamed Abdalla, CEO of Sharjah Islamic Bank, in the presence of officials and representatives from government departments in Sharjah.

His Excellency Mohamed Abdalla, CEO of Sharjah Islamic Bank, stated: "We are pleased to continue our fruitful collaboration with the Sharjah Directorate of HR to support employees in the government sector within the institutions, authorities, and departments of Sharjah, empowering them to contribute to the development and progress of Sharjah by providing them with innovative banking solutions and offering added value to enhance their experience with SIB and their confidence in its services."

His Excellency Mohamed Abdalla added: “The SIB offers a range of competitive privileges, discounts, and banking facilities to the employees of the government of Sharjah, with the aim of contributing positively to providing financial consultations, through a series of informative and educational initiatives and seminars that cover various aspects such as financial management, the importance of saving and investment, and warning against the risks of banking fraud, with the objective of safeguarding and protecting their finances.”

He ccontinued: “SIB is aiming to solidify its position as a proactive strategic partner and supporter of the government sector, particularly the HR Department in Sharjah, by providing the distinctive "Zoud" package to the employees of the government of Sharjah and the other semi-governmental entities in the emirate of Sharjah. It was also noted that the SIB's marketing team will conduct 11 marketing roadshows in various areas and cities of Sharjah during the current period until February of next year, as part of the awareness campaign about the package.

Eng. Omar Khalfan bin Huraimel Al Shamsi, Member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of the Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources, expressed appreciation for the partnership with Sharjah Islamic Bank, which represents a significant economic contribution to the Emirate of Sharjah.

He explained that this collaboration is in line with the wise vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in mobilizing major private sector partners to implement strategic initiatives aimed at supporting human resources and contributing to their development, reflecting positively on the service and prosperity of Sharjah.

He affirmed that the banking privileges package from SIB contribute to providing government employees with added value that enhances the services provided to them and will support the efforts of the "Waffer" program in delivering high-quality goods and services that meet all needs, satisfy all beneficiaries, bring happiness, and achieve well-being and quality of life.

He considered this step as a qualitative addition to the efforts of the department aimed at building and enhancing strategic partnerships with the banking sector and investing in the development of services provided to all government employees and holders of the "Waffer" card, who exceed 90,000 beneficiaries.

Various valuable prizes 

The accompanying offers for the campaign promoting the "Zoud" package include monthly draws for various valuable prizes such as a 2024 Tesla car, mobile phones, and gold coins, providing employees with multiple opportunities to enter the draws when applying for banking products and services.

The "Zoud" package offers a range of benefits provided to employees in relation to personal accounts, financing, deposits, credit cards, and instant digital services. The package provides welcome bonuses of up to AED 4,500 when an employee opens a personal account and transfers their salary to SIB. This includes a bonus of up to AED 1,000 upon salary transfer and AED 3,000 when applying for financing with the issuance of a credit card, in addition to receiving another financial bonus of AED 500 when applying for an additional credit card linked to the account. It also provides competitive profit rates on financing.

The new package will allow employees to benefit from a range of advantages and facilities under the slogan "Rightfully Yours" when obtaining financing and deposits, including special annual profit rates for personal financing, car financing, as well as fixed profit margins for up to 5 years for mortgage financing. Furthermore, employees will receive profits of up to 15.75% in the MaxPlus fixed deposit, as well as the highest expected returns of up to 5.35% in the long-term flexible deposit, Flexi.
