The delegation from SEDD visited “FIREX L.L.C.”, “Ashoka Plastic Factory L.L.C.” and “BLU Chocolate Desserts and Chocolate Manufacturing - SHJ. BR”. It should be noted that they checked the workflow in the factories and their production as well as export, in addition to their approved marketing and promotion plans to enter regional markets. Also, the delegation reviewed the factory management mechanism and the operation of approved production lines supported by high-quality technical mechanisms. Likewise, they discussed a number of topics related to the reality of the industrial sector as well as the most important needs of the industrial sector in Sharjah.
From his side, Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, SEDD Chairman, said that the Department is working on applying the strategy of cooperation and working with its partners to provide its services in accordance with the highest international practices, and to support various economic sectors, especially the industrial sector, as it is one of the most important economic sectors. Likely, he added that these visits reflect SEDD’s vision of leadership in attaining comprehensive development to achieve a diversified competitive and innovative knowledge-based economy in a way that ensures an encouraging and stimulating business environment for work and investment based on achieving economic well-being in Sharjah.
Likewise, He expressed SEDD’s appreciation towards the efforts placed by industrial establishments in Sharjah and their role in leaving a clear impact on the industries that characterize the emirate regionally and locally. Also, he pointed out that SEDD delegations to such facilities fall within its concerns to enhance permanent and continuous communication with the local business community, and to closely learn about the reality of the economic sectors in general and the industrial sector in particular, through exchanging views and visions and working together to overcome any challenges that may hinder the growth and prosperity of industrial establishments' businesses, as well as the level of quality of services provided to them.
From her side, Mariam Nasir Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Industrial Affairs Department at SEDD, illustrated that the services that the Department offers to industrial facilities and factory owners provide a fast and safe work environment and increase the sustainability of businesses and activities. She carried on that the Department is keen on to provide consultations and technical support to these factories with the aim of enhancing the quality of their products and working to study all the challenges and difficulties they face with the aim of coming up with supportive results, recommendations and decisions that enhance these industrial investments in the emirate.
Al Suwaidi stressed that SEDD pays great attention to intensifying its field visits to identify the most important needs and challenges facing the business community and its concerns to address them, in addition to enhancing the elements of success for owners of factories and establishments, in a way that contributes to the sustainability and development of companies and factories. This is done to develop and improve the industrial sector in Sharjah by implementing a series of field visits to a number of industrial facilities according to SEDD plans, which would enhance the strategic partnership with the private sector and meet its needs in order to provide an ideal business environment in the emirate and attract more investments in the industrial sector.
On the other hand, owners of factories and industrial establishments appreciated the visit of the Sharjah Economy delegation. They stressed that it is important to keep up the work with SEDD to provide added value to the industrial sector in Sharjah, and to support the efforts of the emirate’s government aimed at activating the role of the private sector to be a strategic partner in achieving sustainable economic development in Sharjah. Likely, they praised the efforts placed by SEDD to private sector establishments in promoting national exports, which contributes to developing the industrial sector, serving its workers in the best way, and providing them with appropriate support more effectively.
