Sharjah24: The Media Committee for the Consultative Council elections in Sharjah convened a meeting with the media teams from the nine municipalities within the emirate to discuss strategies for enhancing media coverage during the upcoming election stages.
This gathering took place at the Sharjah Media City (Shams) headquarters, and it was attended by esteemed individuals, including Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), and Faisal Al-Hammadi, member of the Media Committee and the Director of Digital Media at the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority.

Representatives from the nine municipalities within the Sharjah, who are actively engaged in media activities related to the elections, also participated in the meeting. 

The meeting underscored the essential need for municipal media teams to coordinate their actions with diverse media outlets to ensure precise and transparent information dissemination.

During the meeting, various subjects were deliberated. These encompassed the first stage of the elections, which started on October 23 and will continue for twenty-nine days, involving the registration of citizens as voters within the electoral bodies. 

Tariq Saeed Allay emphasised the pivotal role of the media in the success of the electoral process and the imperative to intensify media coverage efforts to ensure that accurate and transparent information reaches both the citizens and the broader community.

He also stressed the continuation of joint efforts between the Media Committee for the elections and the municipalities, working in coordination with pertinent media organisations, in the upcoming period to guarantee comprehensive and thorough coverage of each stage of the forthcoming elections.
