Sharjah 24: Kuwaiti poets participating in the Sharjah Nabati Poetry Meeting praised the role of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in a session held at Al Hira Literary Council in the presence of Abdullah Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Culture, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of Cultural Affairs at the Sharjah Department of Culture, and Butti Al Mazloum, Director of Al Hira Literary Council.
They confirmed that Sharjah has grown as a cultural centre with diverse cultural activities on the local, Arab, and global levels. At the same time, they emphasised that Al Hira Literary Council is a unique cultural institution with an extensive heritage.

Al Owais welcomed the poets, saying, "Today, we are delighted to host a group of Kuwaiti poets at the launch of the monthly poetry gatherings following the directions of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Sharjah."

Al Owais further emphasised that His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah is keen to make Al Hira City a literary destination for Arab intellectuals by developing cultural facilities to ensure its historical and cultural value.

Poet Mamdouh Al-Muhsen expressed gratitude to Sharjah and its ruler for inviting him to the gathering. Poet Faten Abdul Aziz acknowledged her delight at taking part in the event, and Najla Al-Mohammed described Sharjah as every writer and poet's dream.

Another poet, Hamad bin Eid, stated that Sharjah has always supported literature and poetry, and Majid Al-Dihani stated, "We rush to respond to the invitation when it comes from Sharjah."

The poets presented outstanding recitations to the audience.
