Iman Awad: MoE organised workshop on intellectual property rights

Sharjah 24: The UAE Ministry of Economy (MoE), in cooperation with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and United States Patent and Trademark Office, organised a workshop titled “Best Practices for Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights.”

Iman Abdullah Awad, a legal researcher in the Trademarks Department at the UAE Ministry of Economy, told “Sharjah 24” that the workshop will be held over two days, with the participation of a number of government agencies from various emirates of the country, and the workshop aims to spread awareness of the field of enforcement of intellectual property rights.

She pointed out that the UAE is one of the leading countries in the field of intellectual property protection due to the importance of such an issue in the field of innovation.
