Sharjah24: Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, CEO of the Sharjah Book Authority, has announced the participation of 108 countries in the upcoming Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), set to kick off on November 1st at the Sharjah Expo Centre.
The 24th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) will feature over 2000 publishers and 205 authors, according to Al Ameri’s statement to “Sharjah24”, highlighting that the importance of this significant cultural project, which was set by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
Al Ameri further stated that the Sharjah cultural project serves not only the country but also the world, as Sharjah has become a meeting point for diverse global cultures. He emphasised that the 42nd edition of the SIBF will be held under the theme "Talking Books" and that South Korea is the guest of honor for this edition. These details reflect the cultural exchange represented by Sharjah's attendance at the Seoul International Book Fair, where they created channels for intercultural communication.
