DIHQA concludes “Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Holy Quran” Compet.

Sharjah 24: The Dubai International Holy Quran Award held the closing ceremony of the activities of the seventh edition of the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition, at the hall of the Culture and Scientific Association’s Theatre in the Al Mamzar area in Dubai, in the presence of a large gathering of women, the contestants and their companions, the directors of the Holy Quran memorisation centers, and representatives of the awards and Quranic institutions in the country.

The event was held under the patronage and presence of Sheikha Hessa bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Sheikha Amina bint Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Women’s Association, and Maryam Mohammed Al Rumaithi - Director General of the Family Development Foundation, representative of the “Mother of the Nation”, Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, large gathering of women, the contestants and their companions, the directors of the Holy Quran.

The ceremony was opened by Amina Al-Dabbous, Secretary General of the Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Awards for Childhood Creativity, on behalf of Advisor  Ibrahim Mohammed Bu Melha, Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award.
After the opening ceremony, the audience watched a documentary film on the progress of the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition since its inception seven years ago, and listened to selected recitations by the contestants.

Then, the sponsor of the ceremony, Sheikha Hessa bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, accompanied by Maryam Mohammed Al Rumaithi - Director General of the Family Development Foundation, honoured the winners of the first ten places and all the participants in the previous session of the competition, where the Jordanian contestant, Sondos Saeed Mohammed Sidawi, achieved first place.
