Sharjah 24: The forthcoming Saturday will mark the conclusion of the performance assessments for the fifteenth edition of the Sharjah Munshid (Nasheed Vocalist) programme, organised by the Sharjah Channel under the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority.
These assessments have followed an extensive tour across various Arab capitals, starting in Riyadh on 2nd September and concluding in Sharjah and Rabat on the 23rd of the same month.
Additionally, the online qualifying rounds will also come to a close next Saturday, approximately three weeks after remote competition among participants who could not attend in person.
The programme organisers have announced that performance assessments for talented individuals residing in the United Arab Emirates will take place on Saturday, 23rd September, to select the finest ‘nasheed’ voices for participation in the fifteenth edition of the programme. The UAE qualifiers will be held at the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority building from 8 AM to 8 PM, overseen by a judging panel consisting of nasheed singers Mohammed Al Muflahi and Ahmed Al Mansouri, who will be responsible for selecting the most qualified voices to compete for the title in the fifteenth edition of the programme.
Furthermore, the performance assessments for the Sharjah Munshid programme in Rabat, Morocco, will occur next Saturday, following their postponement due to the earthquake that struck the kingdom. The Moroccan qualifiers will take place at a hotel in the capital city. It's worth mentioning that the Kingdom of Morocco holds the record with five titles and aims to secure a sixth title in the upcoming edition to further enhance its reputation in the region's most renowned nasheed programme.
Simultaneously, the online performance assessments, which have seen participation from hundreds of individuals worldwide aspiring to master the art of nasheed and enter the world of stardom, will conclude on 23rd September.
The events of the Sharjah Munshid programme are scheduled for December, with the announcement of the twelve qualifiers in a special evening preceding it. Sharjah Channel is also expected to air special episodes titled "The Journey to Munshid 15" in October and November.
