The MoU is based on a previous Iraqi Cabinet resolution that aims at providing Lebanon with fuel oil and crude oil in support of its electricity sector, the Iraqi minister said in a press statement.
He added that a joint technical committee would be set up to lay down appropriate mechanisms for putting in place the agreement involving quantities, transport, loading and unloading, and other technical and logistical obligations.
For his part, the Lebanese minister lauded Iraq's support and help to his country to overcome its fuel and power crises.
