The UOS’s Chancellor emphasized that all the performance indicators upon which the Times Higher Education bases its rankings, considered among the most prominent and credible rankings in the world. The ranking is based on 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance across various areas including teaching, research, citation, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
Al Naimiy pointed out that the University advanced to rank 45th among Asian universities, a remarkable improvement from its previous rank of (72), jumping more than (27) ranks. He added that the UOS achieved remarkable progress in THE Young University Rankings, as it jumped from (89) in 2022 to the rank (43) in 2023.
The University of Sharjah also made significant improvements in teaching and learning standards in accordance with advanced technology, the quality of research, quotations and citations from research and scientific studies conducted. This is evidence of the quality, rigor, and importance of the research done at UOS to be considered a scientific reference for further research and studies all over the world.
It is noteworthy that UOS is ranked among the top (251-300) universities globally according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023, first in the United Arab Emirates and fifth in the Arab world.
