'Sharjah Powerboat' wins second place in Formula 1 in France

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Powerboat Team (Formula 1) of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club achieved a new title in the waters of France, when the team, led by Ferdinand Zandbergen, won second place in the main race of the F1 World Powerboat Championship, in the third round of 2023 competitions held on the waters of the Sauni River in the city of Macon, France.
The Abu Dhabi team also achieved first place in the speed race and third place in the main race. The Sharjah team won third place in the speed-breaking race, after strong and exciting competitions among the 20 competitors’ boats, representing 10 teams from different countries of the world.

His Excellency Khaled Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, confirmed that this result is a great incentive for the team to achieve outstanding results during the upcoming rounds, stressing that it is a new achievement added to the records of marine sports in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Ahmed Al Hosani, General Manager of the club, praised the performance of the Sharjah team, which finished the race in second place. Ahmed Al Hosani pointed out that the race saw a strong performance throughout the stages of the race, and stressed that the team will work on preparing for the next stages to enter the competitions with the best readiness.  

Ahmed Al Hosani extended his thanks and appreciation to the Chairman of the Board of Directors for his support and to all team members for their exerted efforts.
