Ruler of Sharjah announces opening of Al Dhaid University in 2024

Sharjah24: During his intervention with the "Direct Line" programme broadcast by the Sharjah Broadcasting Television Authority, His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, announced the opening of Al Dhaid University in the following year, 2024. The university will include a Faculty of Agriculture and Studies of Animals, a Faculty of Veterinary Science, a Centre for Desert Sciences, and a Centre for Environmental Studies.

His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, has announced that the newly established Kalba University will include a specialised sports centre on "Jabal Al Deem." This centre will focus on sports sciences, including the study of anatomy, muscles, human body structure, skills, and other related subjects.

His Highness mentioned the influence of Monash University in Australia, which inspired the establishment of this centre, during their recent visit to Sharjah. The location of "Jabal Al Deem" offers beautiful weather and attracts summer camps due to its pleasant climate and picturesque nature. The sports centre will have a range of training facilities, and classes are scheduled to begin in mid-August.

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, announced in his intervention on the “Direct Line” programme broadcast on Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, the establishment of a Maritime Studies Centre at Khorfakkan University with a cost of about 90 million dirhams, in cooperation with University of Exeter, UK, being one of the top universities in the world.
