Sharjah24: The Training Programmes Section of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) on Thursday wrapped up the "Career Shadow" Training Programme for the month of June.
The Training Programmes Section conducted 5 workshops targeting the SGMB staff, their children, and members of the SGMB’s Job Shadowing Programme. Offering both theoretical and applied knowledge, the workshops helped the participants learn about the latest developments in the targeted fields and ways to benefit from them in professional and public life.
The participants also got to learn about the significance of the workshop venues, some of which represent the celebrated landmarks of the emirate and the scientific research and development witnessed in various fields in Sharjah.
Participants in the “Media Coverage” workshop held at the Rain Room in Sharjah were briefed on the mechanisms and methods of reporting and dealing with news ensuring its credibility. The workshop on the "Soft Power in Successful Management", which was held at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization, discussed how to manage and achieve a balance between the required goals and the psychological wellbeing of employees in a way that guarantees efficiency, quality of work and speed.
The workshop on “Cybercrime Awareness,” held at Al Qasimia University, tackled the cybersecurity risks being witnessed in today’s technical environment and ways of dealing with them.
The “Artificial Intelligence Design Workshop” held at Sharjah Media City (Shams) introduced the participants to modern design methods using Artificial Intelligence techniques in creating images, improving their quality, correcting colours and making illustrations or 3D models.
This month’s programme concluded with the "Astronomy and Space Photography" workshop held at the Sharjah Academy for Astronomy and Space Sciences and Technology, taking the participants to the wide, magical world of space and learned about the various imaging techniques and mechanisms to present it.
Huda Al Dah, Manager of the Training Department, said, “The Sharjah Government Media Bureau is keen to offer workshops and training programmes that develop the skills and competencies of individuals and groups to serve the emirate's direction in investing in people and empower them with knowledge and technologies that help them keep pace with the requirements of future life in all fields.”
She added, “We are constantly working to improve the way we train our people. We choose training topics in a way that takes into account the amazing diversity in various fields, and serves the future vision of the Emirate of Sharjah by disseminating scientific knowledge, techniques, and insights that individuals can employ professionally and in their lives. We are also making efforts to increase the numbers of those involved in our training programmes.”
