Sharjah24 - WAM: His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah said that education is the fundamental pillar for achieving personal and societal growth, and the greatest means of developing skills, realizing dreams and contributing positively to the sustainable development of nations.
The RAK Ruler made the remarks while attending the RAK Academy Graduation Ceremony - Class of 2023. at the InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab hotel.
In the presence of Sheikha Amneh bint Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah’s Investment and Development Office and Chairman of RAK Academy, Sheikh Saud congratulated the Grade 12 students on their achievements and said: “I am pleased to be among you today, and to share with you the joy of this special occasion. I congratulate you all on your graduation, which is the result of your tireless efforts, your determination and the dedication of your teachers, who have endeavored to provide you with the best knowledge and guidance. You are a source of pride to your families.”
“You are now on the cusp of a critical stage in your life, a time when you begin a new journey, and one that will be different in so many ways; full of challenges and opportunities. It will require of you greater responsibility and self-reliance, though I have faith in your abilities, your readiness for this journey and your desire to achieve further success and excellence. You are the pioneers of the future,” added Sheikh Saud.
The Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah went on to explain that “true success is not only measured by knowledge and skills but also by how individuals interact with others and the impression they leave on society,” pointing to the UAE’s high hopes for its young people to continue the country’s development in various fields, while further enhancing its sustainable and prosperous future through science, Artificial Intelligence, green energy and other technologies.
Sheikh Saud affirmed that the UAE places great emphasis on education, being the key to meeting the country’s future requirements, underlining his commitment to interacting with students across all academic levels to ensure their educational needs are being met.
