Sharjah 24: Maysoun Chehab, Education Programme Specialist at the UNESCO Regional Office in Beirut, was recently interviewed by “Sharjah 24” on the highlights of The Regional Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Conference in The Arab States.
Attendees at today's The Regional Early Childhood Care and Education Conference in The Arab States came from 22 different Arab countries and beyond.
She said that The UNESCO office organises this conference in collaboration with Sharjah's partners, the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, Sharjah Private Education Authority, and Sharjah Education Academy, with the goal of mobilising decision-makers in the Arab region to promote and prioritise early childhood education.
She added that the conference seeks to conclude with Sharjah 2023 declarations or recommendations that will serve as a road map for Arab nations on how to enhance early childhood at the national and regional levels.
Chehab concluded that the establishment of a platform where nations in our regions may meet, network, share ideas, and learn from one another is an integral part of the conference.
She expressed her hope that the conference would come to a successful conclusion by the end of tomorrow and thanked the Sharjah partners.
