Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, directed the Department of Culture to organise periodic poetry gatherings in Africa,

Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, stated that the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, comes within the framework of His Highness's keenness to care for the Arabic language and its literature.

After the Sharjah Forum for Young Poets, the Poetry Houses initiative, and the Sharjah Award for Arab Creativity, the department will start implementing the second phase of this initiative starting next June.
