Sharjah Ruler chairs Sharjah Maritime Academy's BOT meeting

Sharjah24: This morning, on Tuesday, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Sharjah Academy for Maritime Transport chaired the first meeting of the Sharjah Maritime Academy's Board of Trustees in his office at the academy in Khorfakkan.
During the meeting, His Highness welcomed the members of the board of trustees and highlighted their practical and academic experiences that will contribute to the development of the academy in different aspects. The meeting also discussed various topics related to the academy's future, ongoing work plans to develop various facilities and constructions, as well as academic and administrative plans. 
The meeting approved the formation of internal committees within the academy. The meeting also reviewed the academy's vision and message to become one of the prestigious academies in maritime field, as well as the proposed organisational structure of the academy, which includes various departments and sections that work to develop administrative, academic, and technical activity at the academy. 

Additionally, the meeting discussed the academy's regulatory regulations, both administrative and financial. Moreover, during the meeting, statistics on the academy's students and trainees on ships were presented, and the future plan for training students at sea was discussed.
The meeting was attended by a number of officials including His Excellency Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Seaports and Customs, Chairman of the Hamriyah Free Zone and the Sharjah International Airport Free Zone; Engineer Salah bin Butti Al Muhairi, Head of the Initiatives Implementation Authority (Mubadara); and Engineer Ali Saeed bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Sharjah Directorate of Public Works, along with Dr. Gunes Oefa Schroeder Gish, Vice President of the World Maritime University in Sweden; Dr. Siamantak Bhattacharya, Vice President of Solent University for Academic Affairs in the United Kingdom; and Aisha Mohamed Bokhater Al Shamsi, Director of Admissions at the University of Sharjah.
