Sharjah24: The Islamic affairs and Awqaf, Municipalities, Security Affairs and Public Utilities Committee of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), met with His Excellency Dr. Sulaiman Abdallah Bin Sarhan Al Zaabi, the Chairman of Municipal Affairs Department and the directors of the municipalities in the Emirate, reviewing several common municipal services.
During the committee's visit to the headquarters of the Department of Municipal Affairs in Sharjah, the attendees reviewed various municipal services provided by the nine municipalities of the Emirate of Sharjah.
The meeting is part of the committee's efforts to communicate with all government departments, in order to reinforce the parliamentary role of the Consultative Council, by familiarising itself with the roles of the departments and supporting them to continue their efforts and improve their services. Additionally, the committee is preparing to discuss the policy of the Department of Municipal Affairs during the upcoming general session this month.
Dr. Al-Zuabi expressed his warm welcome to the visit of the Consultative Council's delegation, confirming that the department is committed to continuing its efforts to develop its service system and keep up with the requirements of the development process, in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
