Sharjah24: The Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) has officially ratified its recommendations regarding the policies of the Sharjah Department of Statistics and Community Development (SDSCD) during its thirteenth session held at its headquarters in Sharjah.
Chaired by Her Excellency Hanan Rashid Al Jarwan, Vice Chairperson of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), the session commenced by endorsing the minutes of the twelfth meeting, followed by discussions on the council's recommendations concerning the Department's policies.

The council urged for the fulfillment of various vital facility and service needs, particularly in densely populated areas. Furthermore, the council emphasised the significance of analysing statistical data related to family issues and utilising it to formulate the future policy for Emirati families.

The council also called for coordination with the Sharjah Citizen Debt Settlement Committee to study the causes of borrowing and establish sustainable solutions.

The recommendations stressed the importance of providing data and studies on the general economic situation in coordination with local and federal authorities and finding solutions to develop the emirate's economy, reduce inflation, and mitigate its negative effects. The council also urged the establishment of an electronic website for the Department to publish field surveys, censuses, studies, and statistical indicators according to a defined charter of work and standards, to be available to researchers and interested parties.

In conclusion, the council members approved their recommendations regarding the discussion of the Department's policies, and Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, Secretary-General of the SCC, announced that the next session, the fourteenth one, will be held on Thursday 11 May.
