On the occasion, Maryam Al Shamsi, the Executive Director of Branches Affairs and project manager of "Eid Joy," expressed her deep appreciation and gratitude to the many contributors from various segments of society, as well as government entities, for their participation in this community initiative. The project has brought happiness to the hearts of the beneficiaries, including children who lack social care and those living in the Department's homes and centres throughout Sharjah and its cities of Al-Hamriyah, Al-Thaid, Khorfakkan, Maliha, Madam, Al-Bataeh, Kalba, and Dibba Al-Hisn. Contributions were divided between financial deposits to the accounts of 1,445 beneficiaries and the distribution of 256 tangible gifts to children in the Department's homes and centres.
Contributions exceeded the targeted amount of AED 1,000,000, with AED 500,000 allocated for each Eid occasion. The project has completed its first decade and targets children aged one to eighteen. Contributions can be made through text message deposits or bank transfers to the Islamic Bank of Sharjah's account designated for the initiative.
