Bin Matar: Harvesting wheat is critical stage in self-sufficiency

Sharjah 24: Food security programmes for local residents have reached a significant milestone with the first stage of harvesting at the Maliha wheat farm "Seven Spikes," according to Mohammed Obaid bin Matar al-Tunaiji, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock in the Central Region.
In statements to "Sharjah 24," Al-Tunaiji said that the wheat farm project is the first of its kind in the emirate and will help ensure that all members of society have access to wheat.
