Sharjah24: Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated on Thursday at the Sharjah Academy headquarters , the First Compliance Conference "Maamen", which was organized by the Sharjah Private Education Authority under the slogan "pioneering practices and common visions to enhance the quality of student life".
The ceremony began with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, after that Dr. Muhadithah Al Hashemi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, delivered a speech appreciating the unlimited support of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for investment in education and human building, stressing that organizing the conference comes within the framework of the Authority’s keenness to highlight the need for good practices which can transform the contents of the conference and its recommendations into a positive force that contributes to achieving the aspirations and endeavors of the Emirate towards continuing to develop and improve the educational system aimed at raising work efficiency and measuring the activity of educational institutions according to flexible standards that serve the general objectives.

Dr. Muhaddith Al Hashimi added that the authority believes in the importance of positive oversight practices that mainly aim to serve the educational system, and constitute the basis of the educational sector , noting that the efficiency of education is achieved through collective efforts and cooperation of all parties in the educational field, in which educational institutions are an essential element due to their close association with the students since the early stages, pointing out that the efforts made by the authority align with the ambition and aspirations of the Emirate of Sharjah to be the first educational environment and a destination for those seeking knowledge and education.
For his part, Dr. Olli Pekka Heinonen, Director General of the International Baccalaureate Organization, reviewed the importance of the conference as it brings together experts and specialists who would exchange ideas to find solutions that contribute to building an integrated educational system in which the performance and efficiency of schools are high quality, stressing that educational systems and schools in turn are partners in the development process, noting that they continue to develop the transformative International Baccalaureate system, with the aim of supporting the comprehensive development of the quality of life of students, through the continuous improvement of exploration, innovation, development and effectiveness testing.
The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah watched a visual presentation on Sharjah's experience in raising the quality of life of students, through the various initiatives implemented  by the authority, such as My School is Beautiful, Your Children Are Safe, and the provision of healthy water for students in cooperation with Zulal Company. A framework for improving the quality of life of students was also launched, which is a guide for the educational community to develop and strengthen the educational environment, and it is based on four principles including controlling work in educational institutions, which is understanding the needs of the educational field, enhancing the quality of student life, working in partnership with international and local institutions, and the commitment of leaders of educational institutions. Then a number of students from Sharjah schools presented a show titled "Sultan of Safety".
During the ceremony, Sultan bin Ahmed witnessed the signing of an agreement of understanding of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, the International Baccalaureate Organization and the Sharjah Education Academy, with the aim of exploring wider opportunities for cooperation in the fields of bilingual learning and education and the professional development program for workers, in addition to joint projects in various fields to achieve common strategic interests and goals.

The conference includes holding 4 dialogue sessions that bring together a group of senior officials and international specialists in control practices, during which topics are being discussed entitled The positive impact of crises and challenges on control processes, their development, their impact on the school environment and the quality of students’ lives, the importance of employing technology and modern smart applications in the development of control work, the roles regulating and controlling institutions, the professional and ethical behavior of the observer, best practices and distinguished experiences that had an impact on the compliance of educational institutions and their role in controlling and developing educational environments to serve the quality of student life.
On the sidelines of the conference, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah  toured the accompanying exhibition, which includes 5 digital platforms that showcase the services provided to develop the educational system and provide safe services for students, including  the Sharjah Private Education Authority, Emirates Transport, the Prevention and Safety Authority, the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority, the Sharjah Municipality, and the Sharjah Education Council.

The inauguration was attended Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council; Dr. Khawla Abdul Rahman Al Mulla, Chairperson of the Family Affairs Authority; Omar Khalfan bin Huraimel, Head of the Human Resources Department; Dr. Muhadithah Al Hashemi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, and a number of officials and school representatives in the Emirate of Sharjah and the educational sector.
