Sharjah24: The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) held a meeting to review the global best practices for the services provided to the elderly ", being organised annually by the Sharjah Age-Friendly Office of the department, targeting the coordinators of the Sharjah Age-Friendly City Program from governmental and semi-governmental institutions in Sharjah, that are participating in the implementation of the eight axes of age-friendly cities.
Asma Al-Khodari, Director of the Sharjah Office of Age Sensitive Affairs of the Department of Social Services in Sharjah, delivered the opening speech at the meeting, which was held at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, underscoring the importance of the meeting in communicating with coordinators from local authorities and institutions, with reviewing pioneering global experiences in the field of age-friendly cities, aiming to develop the services for the elderly.
