Abdullah bin Zayed attends ADSW 2023 sessions

Sharjah 24 – WAM: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, attended the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2023, which was launched in Abu Dhabi.
The event is seeing the participation of heads of states and governments, policymakers, experts, investors, entrepreneurs and youth from around the world, who have gathered shape the future of the planet and discuss ways to drive climate action and develop innovations that contribute to building a sustainable world.

Sheikh Abdullah attended the main sessions, in which Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Abiy Ahmed, Prime Minister of Ethiopia, delivered keynote addresses.

The UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation welcomed the UAE's guests from heads of states and ministers to senior officials and participants in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, which is held under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

He affirmed that the UAE believes in the importance of achieving a breakthrough in the global response to the challenges of climate change, and seeks, in cooperation with its regional and international partners, to transform these challenges into opportunities for driving sustainable growth and prosperity.

Sheikh Abdullah added that ADSW 2023, which is held under the theme ‘United on Climate Action Toward COP28', features an event-packed agenda of talks and discussions that support the UAE's efforts to boost global climate action, especially as the UAE is set to host the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) this year.
