Sharjah 24: The online store of “Intaj” centre of the Sharjah Social Services Department participates in the activities of the 11th edition Al Hamriyah Children's Festival, which is organised by the Department's branch in Al Hamriyah Heritage Park, and runs until the December 22.
Maryam Al Hammadi, Director of the Centre, said that the centre’s participation this year comes from 11 productive families - members of the centre, and some exhibits from the center's products with the aim of diversifying exhibits and options.
Al Hammadi stated that the centre undertakes the task of involving members of Intaj in seasonal, monthly, annual and internal exhibitions, festivals and events of the department.
On the importance of participating in exhibitions, Al Hammadi saod that the importance of the centre’s members aims to help families continue giving, be more creative and have competition. Moreover, the exhibitions also constitute additional income, which supports these families, she added.
The centre, which has 91 members from productive families, and its establishment dates back to 2009, aims to empower the beneficiaries economically and professionally to help them work from home, find and provide an additional source of income in addition to the social subsidy they receive from the Social Services Department, and promote the beneficiary’s products.
