Sharjah 24 – WAM: Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court, attended the second day competitions of the Zayed Grand Prize for Camel Racing at Al Wathba Camel Racetrack in Abu Dhabi, as part of the UAE's celebrations of the 51st Union Day.
Organised by the UAE Camel Racing Federation, the races will continue until the 1st of December with the participation of thousands of camel owners from across the UAE and the GCC countries.

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed said organising the Zayed Grand Prize for Camel Racing under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan underscores H.H.'s keenness to encourage positive competition and preserve heritage-associated sports for the noble values and authentic traditions they stand for.

Later, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed attended a lunch banquet hosted in his honour by Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, Chairman of the Emirates Camel Racing Federation, and Chairman of the Higher Organisng Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival, on the occasion.

The races and banquet were attended by number of Sheikhs, members of the Festival's Organising Committee, camel owners and fans.

The competitions will feature 214 rounds and 36 prizes.
