Mansour bin Zayed approves 'Purebred Arabian Horse' programme

Sharjah 24 – WAM: Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court and Chairman of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), approved the programme Purebred Arabian Horse Championship programme 2022-2023.
The EAHS organises and oversees the programme, which involves 14 tournaments, including six international tournaments, in addition to the Sharjah and Ajman Arabian Horse auctions to be held from 3rd October, 2022, to 19th March, 2023.

Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the EAHS, thanked Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed for helping promote the stature of equestrian sports in the country and lauded his monitoring of the society's activities.

He said the 2022-2023 programme will offer Arabian horse owners and breeders comprehensive and diverse activities, which will meet their aspirations.

The programme's activities will begin with the UAE National Championship to be held from 3rd to 5th October, 2022, followed by the EAHS National Championship for special studs from 6th to 9th October, 2022.

Sharjah will host the Sharjah International Arabian Horse festival (Straight Egyptians), which will be held on 15th and 16th October. That will be preceded by the Sharjah Arabian Horse Auction.

In December, the events will move to the Eastern Region, specifically in the city of Kalba, where the fourth edition of the Sharjah Kalba Arabian Horse Festival will be held from 2nd to 4th December, and the Fujairah Arabian Horse Championships will be held from 16th to 18th December.

The start of 2023 will witness the launch of the Ajman Arabian Horse Championship, which will be held from 6th to 8th January, and the events will later move to the Al Dhafra region, where the third edition of the Al Dhafra Arabian Horse Championship for private studs will be held from 18th to 22nd January, 2023.

The Abu Dhabi International Arabian Horse Championship will be held from 16th to 19th February, followed by the Al Shiraa International Arabian Horse Show, which will take place from 23rd to 26th February, 2023 while the 24th edition of the Sharjah International Arabian Horse Festival will take place from 3rd to 5th March, 2023.

The second edition of the Arab Arabian Horse Breeders Championship, which is dedicated to Arab breeders and owners, will be held on 7th and 8th March, 2023, and for the first time, the Emirates Arabian Horse Breeders Championship for Arabian for private studs, designated for Emirati citizens, will be held from 9th to 12th March, 2023, while the season will conclude with the 20th edition of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship on 17th to 19th March, 2023.
