Sharjah24 – AFP: Two firefighters were killed at Lima's airport when a passenger plane hit their fire truck during takeoff then crashed on the runway, officials from the Peruvian Health Ministry reported in Lima.
Commenting on this, Guillermo Huatuco, Head of Peruvian Health Ministry’s Telesalud, Referral and Emergencies said, "There are two dead so far reported by Lima Airport Partners (LAP) and the statements have already come out making it official and there are two people who were on the vehicle that was hit by the plane."
The Head of Peruvian Health Ministry’s Telesalud, Referral and Emergencies added, "A plane about to take off from Lima to Juliaca collided with a vehicle manned by firemen from the company. After this there has been a full response to the crisis, and we have been able to mobilise 100 ambulances in metropolitan Lima."
