Sharjah24 - WAM: The Emirates News Agency (WAM) has signed an agreement with the Albanian Telegraphic Agency (ATA), to improve media collaboration in the field of news exchange.
In line with WAM's efforts to expand its international reach as a provider of multilingual and reliable media content, the agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between the two agencies to promote the exchange of news and media content to help achieve their common goals.

Mohammed Jalal Rayssi, Director-General of WAM, and Valbona Zhupa, Director-General of the ATA, signed the agreement at the WAM pavilion in the inaugural edition of the Global Media Congress (GMC), which will run until 17th November, in the presence of a number of officials and media professionals.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two parties will exchange and transmit daily news prepared by one another, as well as photo and video materials, on the various platforms of the two agencies and their partners.

Commenting on the signing, Al Rayssi stressed that the relations between the UAE and Albania are deep-rooted and continue to grow with the support of their leaderships, towards achieving the aspirations of their peoples. He added that the agreement is part of WAM's drive to expand partnerships with media institutions worldwide.

For his part, Zhupa said that the media cooperation agreement with the Emirates News Agency reflects the keenness of both agencies to share media content to advance the interests of their countries, as well as provide coverage of their achievements and success stories, in an effort to drive sustainable development in their countries.

The ATA Director-General commended the intensive work put into organising the GMC, whose inaugural edition featured insightful sessions that spotlight the sector's current status, while also forecasting and shaping its future. He noted that the international presence, which spans 6 continents, testifies to the global significance of the event and to the UAE's status as a leader in crystalising the world's future in various fields, especially media.
