Sharjah24 – AFP: Comedic actor Christina Applegate made her first public appearance since announcing her Multiple Sclerosis (MS) diagnosis on Monday (November 14) to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 'Dead to Me' actor stayed in a chair holding her cane as the 2,740th star on Hollywood Boulevard was unveiled and started to get emotional as onlookers applauded.
She had a family reunion of sorts when her 'Married with Children' co-stars, David Faustino and Katey Sagal, who played her brother and mother in the show respectively, showed up to honor her.
After they both finished speaking, they embraced an emotional Applegate.
When it was Applegate's turn to take to the stage, supported by Sagal, she honored her daughter, saying she was the "most important person in the world."
She added "You're so beautiful and kind and loving and smart and interesting and I am blessed every day that I get to wake up and take you to your school and do what I have to. You are my everything. Thank you for standing beside me through all of this. Oh, by the way, I have a disease. Did you not notice? I'm not even wearing shoes."
