The campaign includes several health, humanitarian, cultural, awareness and social programmes, and it aims to provide various medical services, such as free examinations in several clinics.
Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri, Deputy Secretary-General of the Local Affairs Sector at the ERC, said that the initiative is being supported by the ERC’s management and aims to promote the values and principles that the ERC is seeking to spread around the world.
The campaign offers health services to the community, he added, noting that the ERC has allocated some of its local programmes to provide medical assistance to needy patients.
Al Mansouri thanked all authorities and establishments in Al Dhafra that cooperated with the campaign, which will promote social responsibility and national cohesion.
During the convoy’s inauguration event, Mohammed Jassem Al Mazrouei, Director of the ERC Centre in Al Dhafra, said that the initiative is being supported by other services, including the provision of financial, in-kind and medical donations to beneficiaries.
“The Giving Convoy initiative is continuing the previous initiatives launched by the ERC in Al Mirfa in recent years, which have successfully met the aspiration of the area’s residents,” he said.
“We are foreseeing a new era of humanitarian giving nationwide, which requires united efforts. We are thankful to our partners from local authorities and organisations, as well as individuals,” he added.
Ibrahim Juma Al Hosani, Manager of Community Management at the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) in the Al Dhafra Region, delivered a speech on behalf of the campaign’s partners, which thanked the ERC for giving them the opportunity to engage in its local and international humanitarian and developmental initiatives.
He also highlighted the ERC’s prominent international stature in the area of humanitarian giving, noting that it is enhancing the country’s global stature and supporting needy people.
At the end of his speech, he said that the country’s various organisations will exert all possible efforts to undertake their national duty and social responsibility in serving the community.
