Sharjah 24: This Wednesday morning, Ahmed bin RakKad Al Ameri, Chairman of the Sharjah Book Authority, together with the American Library Association, which is holding its only conference outside the United States in the city of Sharjah, announced the start of the Sharjah International Library Conference (SILC).
Al Ameri continued to "Sharjah 24": This shows the global interest in Sharjah's cultural initiative, which was founded by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Over the course of the three-day conference, he said, numerous topics of importance to the library community would be discussed.
