Sharjah24 - WAM: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, visited the area dedicated to the side events and exhibits at the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
During his tour, the UAE top diplomat visited the pavilions of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar and Egypt, where he was the latest innovations in the areas of the environment, sustainable development and climate action.
He also explored clean and renewable energy projects and learned about several initiatives to raise public awareness about climate change.
Sheikh Abdullah lauded the widespread Arab and international participation in COP27, and the successful organisation of the event by Egypt, stressing that the success of the event will help achieve global climate objectives.
He also affirmed the UAE’s commitment to aligning the outcomes of COP27 with COP28, which will be hosted by the UAE next year.
